John W. Gates is seen here with his beloved dog outside of our original Waldorf Astoria Hotel, circa 1900. He was a resident of our first hotel and could be seen at all times with his dog by his side.

Jingabo, the star of the children's book, "The Dog Who Lives at the Waldorf", is seen here with his master, Mrs. Cole. Both were residents in the Towers of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
