Black and white photograph of then General of the Army Dwight D. Eisenhower. Below the picture appears a handwritten dedication to the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel expressing the General's "deepest appreciation". The inscription is dated June 19, 1945, which was the day of a dinner at and ticker-tape parade outside of the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel in celebration of the General's return from Europe. A copy of this photograph appeared on the inside cover of the souvenir menu for the dinner.
