The Starlight Roof, Good Manners for Ballroom and Dance Hall, c. 1930s
Title
The Starlight Roof, Good Manners for Ballroom and Dance Hall, c. 1930s
Description
A printed ballroom guide, given to patrons of the Starlight Roof, advising on manners, conduct and dress. The item is undated but matches the style of a menu printed in 1934. An excerpt:
"One's MANNERS are an index to one's character. The majority of the people whom we know are not real friends but merely acquaintances. Most people know us only superficially and cannot help but judge us by our personal appearance and manners. If we would be judged favorably we must be well-mannered."
