Title
The Basildon Room of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel
Description
The Basildon Room, located on the fourth floor of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, is a reconstruction of the dining room of the Basildon Park Manor in Berkshire. The ceiling paintings, the cornices and the mantelpiece were removed intact from Berkshire in 1930 and were installed in 1931 under the direction of architects Leonard Schultze and Fullerton Weaver.
