Black and white photograph depicting the Jade Room from the 1935 publication "The Waldorf-Astoria" by Richard Averill Smith.
The room is so named for its beautiful jade green walls with carvings and ornaments in gold. The pilasters and columns at the north end of the room are Italian vert mentalto marble and the room is lit by crystal and gold chandeliers.
The room was originally the Bradley-Martin Ballroom and converted to the South Cafe and Reading Room before this iteration.
