Scope and Content:

The Press and Media series includes publications and press coverage about the Waldorf Astoria that was created by individuals and agencies not directly related to or employed by the hotel. The collection is comprised of books, videos of media coverage, materials related to feature-length movies set in the hotel, and newspaper and magazine articles. The material in this collection reflects the Waldorf Astoria’s relationship to New York City and the hotel’s influence on local, national and international entertainment and travel. The organization of this collection is primarily chronological, with over-sized materials stored separately.
