• In 1995, Midler founded the New York Restoration Project, a non-profit organization with the goal of revitalizing neglected neighborhood parks in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods of New York City.

• Bette Midler host an Annual Hulaween Gala to benefit the New York Restoration Project at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel each year around October 31st. Guest have included singer Gloria Estefan, Kathy Griffin, Rosie O’Donnell, Martha Stewart, Michael Kors, etc.
