Born in the imagination of sea captain Ben Wenberg, Lobster Newburg was introduced at Delmonico’s Restaurant in 1876. Oscar Tschirky brought it from Delmonico’s to a new home at the original Waldorf, whose Chefs perfected the American classic.

In our decadent but oh-so-worth-it preparation of the dish, chunks of mouthwatering, fresh Maine lobster peak out from a rich, tarragon-infused Sherry cream sauce. For those that have not tried it, Maine lobster has a delicate flavor that is both slightly sweet and briny at the same time.
The incredibly fresh, succulent and slightly salty lobster finds its perfect partner in the flavorful richness of the wine sauce.
