Pencil drawing by Rene Black of a cozy fireplace scene, given to Oscar with the handwritten message: "To Oscar! It is a great pleasure to present greetings of Christmas to a man like you and doubly interesting on account of what you have done in your long and useful life from which we all may learn and profit by your long years in which you have maintained distinction. I consider myself very fortunate to have your friendship which I enjoy and esteem and appreciate in the highest degree. It is also with a happy feeling that I have in wishing the good thoughts of Xmas to your charming, excellent andsweet wife, and ask you to give her a big kiss for me. Rene Black, Christmas of 1939".
