Description
Black and white photograph depicting the Sert Room from the 1935 publication "The Waldorf-Astoria" by Richard Averill Smith.
"...Redecorated and Terraced for the Summer of 1935. The room may be reserved for private parties during the season when the Starlight Roof is open as a public restaurant."
The room was named for Spanish painter Jose Maria Sert, whose fifteen murals depicting scenes from "The Marriage of Quiteria" from Cervantes' "Don Quixote" adorn the walls.
