A group photo of the bellmen and doormen as they looked in 1932. The construction of the Park Avenue Waldorf Astoria Hotel was completed by October of 1931, with the official opening date of October 1st. This photo was taken only a few months after the hotel opened. Many of these men were team members of the original Waldorf Astoria Hotel which was located on 5th Avenue between 33rd and 34th streets.
