The Waldorf State Apartments--Francis I, Bedroom

Description

Black and white lithographic image depicting the bedroom of the Francis I Room at the Waldorf State Apartments from the 1903 promotional publication assembled by George C. Boldt, then manager and proprietor of the Waldorf-Astoria.

Lithographs produced from original photographs by B.J. Falk.

Referenced by the publication: "FRANCOIS I. BEDROOM, (After the Musee de Cluny) adjoining the State Drawing Room on Thirty-third Street side. The exquisite prie-dieu is an original Italian work of art. The famous bedstead and all other furniture in this room, some in French and some in American walnut, were carved in this country. The carved woodwork on the doors is also well worth examination."
